Prepare your office for the holidays

How to prepare your office for the holidays

In Blogging, Creative, Michigan Creative by Elizabeth Carter

Even though Halloween was just a few weeks ago, it’s never too early to prepare your company for the holidays. The holiday season can be stressful and hectic, but with organization and preparation, it can be a painless and enjoyable time.

Start Early

When it comes to holiday preparation, the earlier the better. It’s important to reflect on what your company has done in the past:

  • Make a list of successful and unsuccessful strategies.
  • Brainstorm new ideas for the following year.

Organize your holiday schedule

Working with your clientele and employees over the holidays is essential. Most people have shopping to do, travel plans, and religious observations that need to be considered when planning business hours. Keep an open communication path throughout this time, and organize the holiday schedule as soon as possible so your clients and employees can plan accordingly.

Holiday promotions

Whether your company sells goods, services, or both, holiday promotions are a great revenue generator. Once you finalize what kind of promotion you’ll be running, be sure to include all holiday observations (i.e. Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, etc). Promotions can take form in flyers, commercials, social media posts, or whichever method you prefer. If you need inspiration when it comes to holiday marketing, reach out to us!

Ready, Set, Decorate!

One of the most joyous and exciting parts of the holiday season is decorating — it can boost morale and create a fun bonding experience for the employees. Ask the employees to decorate their desks with their favorite holiday decor, and hang decorations that represent diverse holiday celebrations.

Like any other year, the holidays sneak up on us quickly. If you create and finalize your plan as early as possible, you’ll have a low-stress, smooth holiday season.
